Intense Debate Graphical Makeover

Thursday, January 31, 2008

As you probably know I’m a cofounder and User Interface Designer at Intense Debate. We just released a big update to our revolutionary commenting system, that’s basically a total makeover graphically. I think you can tell that I’m excited!

ScreenshotOne of the most noticable changes/improvements is the “User Information Box” that displays when you hover an avatar. It’s almost like a mini-profile-mashup from alot of different things. The idea is that it should tell you alot about the person you’re interested in, and still look OK if the person has not supplied much data. A screenshot of this new feature is next to this paragraph.

There’s much more to this update, if you’re interested I suggest you go read (and subscribe!) to our company blog: Inside the Debate.

TechStars 2008 - Apply Now!

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

TechStars LogoI spent last summer in the beautiful and cozy Boulder, CO. Intense Debate was selected as one of the 10 teams that gets into TechStars each year. I’m still very proud of this: And truth is, without it, Intense Debate probably wouldn’t have gotten anywhere.

Techstars is about three things to me.
1. Learning from the best, and get to ask them questions.
2. Meeting other young entrepreneurs to bounce off ideas on and just hang out with.
3. Getting started. Face it: You need some pressure on you to get things going.

All in all, you don’t have anything to lose, just to win. Last year 10/300 got in TechStars. If you got what it takes, send in your application today at techstars.org and get ready to kick some a**!

Ron Paul for President

Sunday, January 13, 2008

I know, I know. I live in Sweden, and will probably never become an American citizen. But I do have alot of thoughts about the ongoing elections.

Recently I’ve come to believe that there are a few people in the US that are trying to control the public into drastic decisions. This is largely because I watched Zeitgeist, a film that implies alot about the current ongoings in the world. I would not say it’s propoganda, as it’s sole purpose is just to tell the other side of a story, the side that BBC, CNN and Fox don’t want to tell us. It reveals the people who have made The New York Times show discretion to their shady actions.

I’m not saying I whole-heartedly agree with the film. I do believe, however, that a guy like Ron Paul could really make a difference. He IS aware of the plans of an American Union, he is speaking of taking home the troops from Iraq, and is serious about the IRS not being needed. And out of all candidates there are, on both sides, he’s the only one that’s not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. No one really knows what CFR does, but some say they are working for a One World Government.

Please, see Zeitgeist and decide for yourself. If nothing else, for the entertainment. It’s theories grabs your attention.

New year, more work

Friday, January 4, 2008

It’s amazing how some things change rapidly and how others.. Well, doesn’t change at all. It’s 2008 and I still work as hard as ever. One thing’s for certain: This is the year. So much exciting stuff will happen this year.

I’m working on a little side project for Adept Web Solutions while Intense Debate stabilizes. I thought I’d post something about that on here later.. It’s cool stuff. I’m also hoping to update the blog a little bit, already getting tired of it.
